I had so much fun playing with Meeden water colors to create this pretty card. I used a light colored ink to apply the image for a no lines effect and then fussy cut the heads and feet out so I could layer them.

I really love hot pressed watercolor paper, it is much smoother then cold pressed giving a completly different effect giving a sharper edge to your coloring. My go to is Archies Hot pressed watercolour paper.

The base of the card was created using a taupe sheet of paper from the Scrapbook.com 4.25x5.5 inch paper pad called Christmas Smooth Cardstock.

I created the background by 1st using a low tack piece of rolled tape and one of this months brand new stencils called Smokin' Squares to create blocks.

I covered the above squares using the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Woodgrain Stencil.

The chipboard is by Southern Ridge Trading Company for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is called Leafy Branches. I cut these for my branches and adhered the possom pieces to look as though they were sitting on the branches. I added a few extra pieces around to finish.

For now, check out all the sweet goodness in today's hop!
See you tomorrow!
